Abstract

487,230. Coal bins. BUJNOWSKI, A. Dec. 14, 1936, No. 34226. [Class 20 (i)] A coal bin 2 of the type having a vertical front wall comprises a floor 4 sloping downwardly from the withdrawal aperture 3 in. the wall, and an inclined deflector 6 over the aperture which stops short of the opposing wall, thereby providing a delivery passage 7. With this arrangement, the coal which falls on the floor is loose and there is no danger of spilling through the aperture 3. More than one withdrawal aperture may be provided with downwardly sloping floors and inclined baffles, the coal being confined in every other direction except that of withdrawal. Further baffles 8 above the main baffle 6 may be provided.
