Abstract

348,714. Coal scuttles. MORGAN, J. D., 48, Fidlas Road, Llanishen, Cardiff. Oct. 14, 1930, No. 5373. [Class 52 (i).] A coal scuttle, divided by an inclined screen 6 into upper and lower compartments 4, 5, is substantially oval in section, except that a part 1 slopes downwards and inwards towards the front of the screen. An opening 3 gives access to the larger grade of fuel, and an opening 7, closed by a door 8, gives access to the small coal in the lower compartment 5. Preferably the opening 7 projects beyond the angle of repose of the small coal.
