486,903. Collapsable cardboard boxes. MARDON, K. J. Dec. 16, 1936, No. 34509. [Class 18] A collapsable rectangular corrugated or faced cardboard box for pickle jars, jam jars, &c. is made from a container portion A, Fig. 3, and an encircling wall B, Fig. 4, the side 5 being metal stitched to a wall 9 or being secured thereto by fasteners or plastic material. Handholes, and partitions made of crossed cardboard strips also are provided. Both the ends of the container A may be formed like the part 5 or both like the part 6. With wider containers where the turned-over parts of the wall 6 do not meet, an insertion strip is stitched in the gap. The joint 11 is crimped and stitched.
