[Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XXXV] Apparatus indicating and measuring low speeds, such as speedometers, is operated by a polyphase tachometer generator energized by a single-phase current or with an unsymmetrical polyphase excitation. This produces a superposed impulse of a frequency sufficient to overcome static friction in the measuring or indicating device.
