[Class 136 (iii)] In a pedal or motor cycle frame having limited resilience under shocks, the saddlesupporting member is formed in two telescoping parts 1, 2 with a spring 3 interposed between them, and the upper part 1 is pivoted to a rigid top member comprising two branches 5, 6, of which the branch 5 is fixed to the lower end of the head tube 4, and the branch 6 is pivoted to the front down tube 7, which is pivoted to the head tube 4. When, under road shock, the parts 1, 2 are relatively displaced, the head tube 4, under the thrust of the branch 5, is given a limited rocking movement forward about its pivot with the tube 7, carrying the front wheel with it. The front fork comprises forwardly - curved tubes 8 connected to the upper end of the steering- column 10, and also to the lower end of the column 10 through brackets 12.
