483,861. Coated fabrics. GLOVER, D. W., and TAYLOR, E. A. Dec. 10, 1936, No. 33888. [Class 140] Surfaces coated with a water-soluble adhesive e.g. paper coated with gum arabic, are rendered insensitive to accidental moistening by applying to the coated surface a film which is insoluble in water and impervious to moisture and which is adapted to be removed or disintegrated readily by such friction as is ordinarily used in wetting gummed surfaces for use. The film may be deposited from diluted solutions in organic solvents of cellulose nitrate or acetate and is preferably from one to thirty millionths of an inch thick.
