Abstract
Organic substances containing, e.g. vitamins, present only in very small proportions in raw materials, are distilled by high-vacuum, short-path distillation after admixture with a synthetic mixture compounded so as to give a constant or known amount of distillate for each increase in temperature. The synthetic mixture may be obtained by blending a number of fractions in a ratio other than that in which they are obtained by distillation. The mixture may comprise a number of glycerides which are blended and re-blended until the final product yields an equal volume of distillate for each equal increment of uniformly increasing temperature.
