482,866. Bearings. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN. Aug. 30, 1937, Nos. 23702 and 23703. Convention dates, Sept. 15, 1936 and Sept. 29, 1936. [Class 12 (i)] A support for a bearing housing, which permits axial and tilting movements, comprises a single body 39 having line or point contact with the bearing housing and a supporting surface, the conformity of the curvatures between the two surfaces 40, 41, being closer than that of a plane surface in contact with a ball or roller of the same height as the body. The body 39 may be assembled in a tilted position by the use of wedges 42, which are afterwards removed, so that when movement of the bearing resulting, from, say expansion of the shaft, occurs, the body will be symmetrically disposed beneath the housing. The body may be in two parts, one part, 27, Fig. 6, being cylindrical or spherical, and the other part, 28, being curved.
