Abstract

481,880. Packages. SAMUEL, M. Sept. 16, 1936, No. 25207. [Class 94 (i)] A bandage adapted for rapid application, shown partly unfolded in Fig. 4, comprises a gauze pad b, Fig. 4, on a plaster strip a. The ends of the strip a are covered with gauze strips d, e extending beyond the ends, and reinforced by pieces of plaster d<1>, e<1>. The plaster strip may be perforated. The bandage is packed as shown in Fig. 1 by enclosing in a rectangular sheet f of rubber or rubberized fabric placed round both sides and sealed along the edges g, h with rubber solution. The end e<1> is passed through a vertical slit in the cover and turned back, and the end d<1> is passed between the overlapping ends and turned back. To open, the ends d<1>, e<1> are pulled apart, the cover sheet comes away with the end e<1> and may be removed before application of the bandage.
