750,849. Adhesive surgical dressings. DALMAS, Ltd. March 11, 1955 [March 12, 1954]. No. 7209/54. Class 81(2). An adhesive dressing comprises a transparent area, along at least one edge of which is a portion which is reinforced and coated with adhesive. The drawing shows the stages in the production of one form of dressing. A transparent synthetic film 2 has textile net 1 embedded in its longitudinal side portions and preferably the surface of the net is exposed so as to give a key to the adhesive substance 3 which is applied over it. Protective gauze 5 is placed over the face of the dressing and is removed before use. If desired, a strip of absorbent lint 4 may be placed adjacent the edges of the transparent portion to absorb moisture from a wound.
