Abstract

481,677. Coated fabrics. PUSEY, W. Sept. 23, 1936, No. 25861. [Class 140] [Also in Groups XVII and XIV] Bags, e.g. for laundry purposes; of openwork fabric such as a network of cotton, hemp or linen threads, are impregnated or coated with vulcanized rubber. The netting may be coated by spreading a rubber dough containing sulphur, softeners, fillers, colouring matter and anti-oxidants or sprayed with a thin rubber solution. Impregnation may be effected by pressure or suction. The Provisional Specification describes also treating openwork fabric and wire mesh such as bed mattresses.
