390,312. Compound and coated fabrics. SANFORD MILLS, Sanford, Maine, U.S.A. March 14, 1932, No. 7508. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1931. [Class 140.] A carpet material comprises a flimsy-backed pile fabric such as upholstery fabric, and an open mesh fabric, such as a cotton leno fabric, united to the back of the pile fabric by a flexible adhesive such as a pyroxylin or rubber compound which penetrates the meshes of the leno fabric &c. A coating of the adhesive may be applied to the pile fabric, either before or after dyeing, to the leno fabric &c. and also to the final product.
