480,933. Locking nuts. HIRVI, S. July 14, 1937, No. 19524. [Class 89 (i)] A nut is locked by a V-shaped bar 4 that is grooved at its outer edge and located in a V-shaped longitudinal channel 3 in the bolt, the wider side of the bar being equal in width to the wider side of the channel so that when the bar rocks about an apex 5 of the channel its grooved edge is forced against the threads of the nut. A key or spring 8 may be slipped between the bar and one of the sides of the channel to force the bar against the other side of the channel.
