Abstract
480,425. Brushes; handles. LINE, A. Aug. 16, 1937, No. 22467. [Classes 19 and 61 (i)] A brush or broom comprises bristles radiating from and carried by a twisted wire core which mid-way between its ends is received in a hole or slot in a block carried by a handle, and is securedtherein by a screw-threaded member. In one form, Fig. 1, the wire core 5 is clamped by a screw 8 in a block 3 attached to a handle 2 by a spike 1. In another form, Fig. 4, a block 9 bored to receive a handle 19 is provided at each end with a slot 12 which receives the core 14 of a brush which is retained by a screw 17 passing through a loop in the core or clamping it.
