Abstract
An insecticidal composition, particularly for use against scale-insects, comprises a major proportion of raw castor oil as the principal insecticide, ammonium or other alkali salt of sulpho-ricinic acid, and a resin soap, together with a small proportion of a -or b - naphthylamine, a - and b - naphthalene sulphonic acid and cresol. Mineral oil may be added as a diluent, if desired, in the proportion of 30-40 per cent, and the product is used in the form of an aqueous emulsion. Eucalyptus oil or similar essence may be added if desired. The pH value of the product is preferably adjusted to 8,5 to 9 by treatment with dilute ammonia.
