479,809. Floors ; tiles. DUGDALL, J. C., and HOLMS BROS. & CO., Ltd. April 2, 1937, No. 9357. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] A flooring or paving surface is formed of composite tiles each comprising two or more wooden strips 10, 11 separated by a rubber or cork strip 12, the outer edges of the strips being formed to interlock. A tongue 13 is formed on one edge of the strip 10 and grooves are formed on all other edges of the strips 10, 11, 12 except the abutting surfaces of the strips which are flat. Loose tongues are inserted where two grooves abut in laying. The tiles may be laid in herringbone fashion.
