478,949. Plywood sheets. LACHAPPELLE, J. A., and LACHAPPELLE, H. E. June 23, 1936, No. 17438. [Class 145 (ii)] [Also in Group X] A flooring slab comprises a plurality of wood blocks 1 which are of rectilinear form in plan and are secured on a foundation sheet 2 having perforations so distributed over the sheet and in sufficiently close relationship as to ensure that, whatever the arrangement of the blocks on the foundation sheet may be, passage will bo afforded to cement from the underside to all the joint spaces provided between adjacent blocks, when the slab is placed on a cementitious layer 4 on the surface to be covered by the slab. The sheet 2 may be of paper, cardboard, plywood, metal network, expanded metal or the like. The blocks may be fixed upon the foundation sheet 2 by glue, nails or other means.
