Abstract
478,492. Viewing-apparatus. ZIMMER. MANN, L., and ZIMMERMANN, H., (trading as ZIMMERMANN, G., [Firm of]). July 12, 1937, No. 19251. Convention date, May 24. [Class 97 (i)] A magnifying-appliance for viewing small pictures comprises a circular casing made in two parts b, r which fit one within the other. Tongues c extending inwardly from the base a of the part b pass through slots f in a disc d carrying the pictures g to be viewed, the disc being held in position by a spring k engaging the tongues. The base a has a number of apertures i equal to the number of pictures g and registering therewith. The part r of the casing has an aperture receiving a tube v formed with an enlargement y to receive an eyepiece consisting of lenses z, 2, separated by a ring 3. A conical member 5, having a bead which fits over the end of the tube v, bears on the lens 2 to hold the eyepiece in position. Successive pictures are viewed by turning the base b to bring the pictures in turn into the field of view of the eyepiece. The apparatus is of about the size of a watch.
