[Class 98 (ii)] Contrast is suppressed in multi-colour screen negatives and diapositives by a second exposure after normal development and before fixing, followed by further development to the required contrast. Fogging may be removed in Farmer's reducer, and the negative may be subsequently intensified. Uneven exposure due to insuflicient lens covering power may be compensated for by this process.
