627,254. Colour photography. SOC. NOUVELLE PATHE CINEMA, and BERTRAND, J. P. July 10, 1946, No. 20638. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1945. Drawings to Specification. [Class 98 (ii)] A black and white image formed in a gelatinosilver halide emulsion layer of an ordinary positive film is transformed, by direct toning or through steps involving an intermediate bleaching of the image, into a colour component image, and one or more further colour component images are added by re-sensitizing the same gelatin layer, or an additional gelatin layer coated over the first one, by suitable diazosulphonates and naphthols, and then exposing behind colour component negatives. The first black image may be toned in blue, and then red and yellow images added by the diazosulphonate-naphthol process. Specification 611,134 is referred to.
