Abstract

[Class 37] [Also in Group XL] A reflector 17 is mounted on an armature 18 oscillated by solenoids 20, 21 at rightangles and energized with equal sine wave oscillations 90‹ out of phase, so that the reflected beam traces an eclipse 23. An aperture 24 allows the beam to pass when its movement is approximately linear and uniform. The reflector 17 may be mounted on one prong of a tuning fork vibrated by two solenoids at right-angles, Fig. 2 (not shown), The oscillograph is used in television.
