477,538. Jointing. JACOBOVICS, J. July 1, 1936, No. 18308. Convention date, July 1,1935. [Class 83 (iv)] A joint between non-displaceable parts, such as a collar on a shaft, a tube in a tube plate, or riveted or screwed joints &c., is made by applying metal granules of wedge-shaped or splintery form between the contacting surfaces. The granules may comprise iron filings or steel grit mixed with a binder of fatty oils and viscous fats together with a filler of chalk, graphite, &c. and kieselguhr, asbestos, &c.
