476,785. Kinematograph apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. March 24, 1937, No. 8720. Convention date, March 24, 1936. [Class 97 (i)] A resilient member 6 is inserted within the hollow core 3 of a spool to hold the end of a film that has been inserted between it and the core. As shown, the member is a substantially circular split ring and has one end 7 bent to engage one edge of a slot 4 in the core, and its other end bent at 10 to engage the other edge of the slot and then to extend across the slot so that a portion 12 overlies the end 7. One or more lateral extensions of the portions 12 project through openings in the spool flanges to form finger pieces enabling the member 6 to be depressed so that the end of the film 16 may be inserted between it and the core.
