482,094. Enclosed spools for adhesive plaster &c. LESLIES, Ltd., and GROVE, S. July 8, 1937, No. 19042. [Class 18] An enclosed spoo for adhesive plaste &c., comprises a radially flanged hub B and a shell A open at both ends a flange (or flanges B<1> of the spool being furnished with one or more recesses B<2> adapted to make a sliding friction fit with one or more projections A<1> formed within the shell A. Alternatively the recesses may be formed in the shell and the projections on the flange (or flanges) of the hub. The projection A<1> may be formed by the bead or roll joining the edges of the sheet material of the shell, the latter being provided also with a flange or stop to prevent the spool from being pushed right through the shell. Alternatively, the spool and sheet may be formed of mouldable plastic material. The projection A<1> may extend helically within the shell, instead of parallel to the axis thereof.
