476,641. Lids for cartons. HOSKING, H. G. W., and SPICER, J. L. June 10, 1936, No. 16259. [Class 125 (iii)] A push-on lid for a carton &c. comprises a cap-like member c having an inwardly extending flange e, and a ring of cardboard f over which a transparency is stretched so that the contents of the carton may be viewed therethrough. The downwardly extending flange is knarled or milled. The transparency may be secured by adhesive. The part c may be of synthetic resin or metal. A bayonet-joint connection may be employed with the cap.
