Abstract

476,069. Impedance networks. TURNER, P. K., and HARTLEY TURNER RADIO, Ltd. Aug. 11, 1936, No. 22118. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] A narrow band of frequencies is eliminated from an audio-frequency amplifier by balancing two equal and opposite voltages produced across an inductance L4 and a condenser C1 connected in series across the amplifier, the condenser C1 being in series with a resistance Rl across the amplifier, and the inductance L4 being coupled to an inductance L2 in series with a condenser C3 and also across the amplifier. The frequency eliminated is varied by variation of C1 and C3, which may be ganged, or by variation of Rl. Specific details of a filter for eliminating a 9000 k/sec. frequency are given.
