Abstract
475,408. Offices in vehicles ; springs. SERAFINOWICZ, O. Feb. 17, 1936, No. 4826. Convention date, Feb. 20, 1935. [Classes 103 (iv), 108 (i), and 108 (iii)] [Also in Group XIV] Offices arranged in or upon a vehicle comprise a compartment and a chair and stand or table which are rigidly connected together and are resiliently supported so that they vibrate in unison. Fig. 12 shows an atrrangement of table 53 and chair 54 interconnected by a frame 58 and supported on a rubber mat or resilient inflatable cushions 61, 62 which are supported by projections 59. Figs. 8 and 9 show a resilient support for a chair &c. leg 47 comprising a conical member 45 mounted by radial springs 43 and a base spring 44 in a foot 42. Various arrangements of offices are described and as shown in Fig. 5 a double-decker railway car is provided with compartments arranged about a central staircase 36 and aisle 34. The domed roof may be provided with cupboards and together with the floor may be constructed wholly or partly of glass. Fig. 7 shows the arrangement of a motor car in which the table 53 is rigidly connected to a seat by frame 58.
