Abstract

475,198. Washing machines. PROSPERITY CO., Inc. June 5, 1936, No. 15790. Convention date, Sept. 11, 1935. [Class 138 (ii)] In a rotary washing- machine wherein a scum - removing chamber 11 is secured to the stationary casing 1 above the normal highest liquid level and communicates therewith through apertures 13 and with a drain pipe over a baffle 12, a rotary valve member 22 is positioned in the upper part of the chamber 11 and is operated by a handle 37. The valve may be turned so that the hot and cold pipes 25, 26 communicate with the interior of the casing through a port 23 or so that communication with the casing is cut off and is established from the pipes 25, 26 to a pipe 29 leading directly to the rotary receptacle for rinsing purposes.
