[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 22, 1937.] [Classes 20 (i) and 87 (i)] Relates to walls, floors, roofs, and other building structures, which are formed of connected wooden sections each comprising a frame covered with a wooden surfacing layer. According to the invention, the wooden sections are constructed and assembled as follows: (1) they engage at one end in a rabbet provided in an adjacent building-frame member b, and at the other end have tenons c3 for engaging a groove in an adjacent building-frame member a as shown in Figs. 1 and 2; (2) they are provided with undercut edges so as to make half-dovetail joints with each other as shown in Fig. 3 ; and (3) they are held together along their side edges, and to the frame of the building along their end edges, in a readily dismantled manner, by locking devices let into adjacent frame members and operated externally by a key. Each section comprises, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, side frames c, upper and lower frames c<1>, c<2>, a timber filling e, outer sheathing f, and, if desired, an insulating layer g of cardboard, roofing felt, &c. The sheathing f extends over the joints between the sections and the frame members a, b. The locking device is in the form of a catch s<2> which is turned by a key s<3> so that it engages either a wedge-shaped slot in a striking plate s<1> provided, as shown in Fig. 3, in the adjacent section, or a metal strip i provided in a groove h in the frame member b as shown in Fig. I. Certain of the wall sections may be provided with door and window frames.
