Abstract

A casting, for example a cast battery grid, is made from a lead alloy containing 2-4 per cent of antimony and 0,01-0,25 per cent of tellurium. The casting may be tempered or aged or reheated to 240-248 DEG C. and aged. Specifications 309,629, [Class 82 (i)], and 411,524 are referred to. The Provisional Specification describes an alloy having up to 5 per cent of antimony and refers also to Specification 392,585.
