472,745. Hair - waving solutions. KNIBBS, N. V. S. Feb. 24, 1937, No. 5586. [Class 131] A hair-waving solution contains sulphites of amines or hydrazines to which the free base or the free acid may be added. As examples of the amines monodi-, tri-ethanolamine, ethylene diamine and the ethyl, methyl and amyl amines are mentioned. In addition to ordinary hydrazine organic hydrazines in which some of the hydrogen atoms are replaced by organic radicles may be employed. Wetting agents, such as butyl alcohol, tertiary amyl alcohol, cyclohexanol, soaps, sulphonated oils, sulphonated alcohols and saponin, and oils, fats and waxes such as olive oil, heavy mineral oil, glycerol stearate, glycol stearate, and paraffin wax may be added. Examples of numerical proportions are given.
