[Class 98 (i)] [Also in Group XL] A polarizing filter of the kind which may be angularly adjusted to remove disturbing reflections from the field of view is mounted in or in front of the view opening of a photoelectric exposure meter. A single filter may cover both openings, or separate filters coupled together for simultaneous adjustment may cover each. The filter or filters may be carried by detachable mountings so that they may be transferred in correct orientation to the view finder or objective of a photographic camera. When the filter or filters cover both the view and cell openings, they may be associated with one or more colour filters. As shown in Fig. 2, the foil filter 7 is rotatably mounted in front of the view opening 3, 4 of a meter 1, a scale on the front of the meter indicating the angular adjustment. A second filter may be rotatably mounted in the cell opening of the meter, the two filters being coupled by toothed gearing actuated by a scaled adjusting wheel ; and in this form the two filters may be mounted in the meter or in a detachable cap fitting over the front of the meter. In a further modification, a single filter 18, Fig. 9, covering both openings is mounted in a holder 19 which may be fitted on a cap 20 for attachment to the exposure meter, or may be mounted directly upon the objective or view finder of a camera.
