469,738. Mounting lampshades or lamp globes. HAILWOOD, E. A. Jan. 29, 1936, No. 2713. [Class 75 (ii)] In a lamp globe or shade with an opening at the top, the usual lugs for attaching the globe or shade to a holder are replaced by suitably bent parts A<1> of three or more metal straps A which are attached to a metal ring R which is located inside the globe or shade. The globe or shade rests directly on the ring R, Fig. 4, or on the outwardly bent lower parts A<2> of the straps A, Fig. 1, and is secured by bending over parts of the straps A or of additional straps A<4> to engage the top of the outside of the globe or shade. The ring and straps may be in one piece.
