Abstract

469,023. Security paper. RUSSELL, D. Jan. 16, 1936, No. 1378. Addition to 437,969. [Class 96] The reaction metal or metal oxide disclosed in the parent Specification is so finely divided that it all passes through a 240 mesh sieve, or all through a 200 mesh sieve and 90 per cent or more through a 300 mesh sieve. The metal &c. may be used wholly or mainly in an inner ply of a multiple-ply paper, or coarser metal &c. may be used therein; adjacent plies may contain other security materials, e.g. reacting with the metal or oxide. Examples specify ferrocyanides of manganese, lead, zinc, or calcium, calcium thiocyanate, ferric hydroxide, as well as finely divided iron, copper, nickel, or cobalt.
