Abstract
467,407. Laminated springs. WALLACE, W. H. Nov. 16, 1935, No. 31814. [Class 108 (iii)] A spring leaf 22 has a cross-section, the tension side 26 of which is substantially flat and the compression side of which is formed by a longitudinal groove 30 symmetrically positioned with respect to the edges of the leaf and extending at its central portion to a depth of at least one half the edge thickness of the leaf, the sides of the groove being divergent toward the compression side of the leaf and the portions of the compression side adjacent the edges of the leaf being substantially flat and parallel with the tension side.
