532,698. Laminated springs. HOWES, S. R., HODGSON, A., and FOX & CO., Ltd., S. July 26, 1939, No. 21740. [Class 108 (iii)] A leaf spring is provided with a leaf or leaves having two or more grooves 4, 5 on the compression surface, of depth equal to approximately two-thirds of the section depth, and of total width equal to approximately one half of the section width. The middle portion of the leaf may be ungrooved and provided with protuberances for fitting into corresponding depressions on the adjacent leaf.
