Abstract

Laminar springs are provided integral with a leaf or a post attached thereto with transverse corrugations &c. and a strip of resiliently deformable material in engagement with the corrugations and also with the e adjacent leaf to resist relative sliding movements of the leaves. In Fig. 2 is shown a strip of rubber having a serrated surface A<3> co-operating with a similar surface B<3> on the leaf B. In Fig. 3 the strip C is placed between adjacent leaves B, B<2> having undulating surfaces. In other modifications two strips similar to that shown in Fig. 2 are secured back to back and co-operate with adjacent leaves having corresponding surfaces, or a strip as shown in Fig. 2 may co-operate with a metallic strip secured to an adjacent leaf. Various forms of serrations or corrugations may be given to the strip.
