Abstract
466,871. Coating webs. WARNANT, L. H. Sept. 2, 1935, No. 24504. Void. Convention date, Sept. 1, 1934. [Class 140] In apparatus for coating sheet material with a material of pasty consistency, e.g. in the manufacture of carbon or waxed papers, the paper sheet B passing around a support roller 3 is coated by an impression roller 2 contacting with an inking roller 1, and excess material is removed by a tangent roller 4 running in the same direction as the roller 3 but at higher peripheral speed. A further roller 5, running at still higher speed, clears the roller 4 ; scrapers R<1>, R2 may also be employed.
