466,735. Moulds for sweetmeats &c. CALEY & SON, Ltd., A. J., and BOTTOMLEY, F. June 20, 1936, No. 17227. [Class 87 (ii)] A mould for chocolate liqueurs and like sweetmeats comprises elements a ringed along adjacent lower edges at c and having complementary mould parts b in their meeting faces and opening into the top so that when the elements are assembled a number of complete moulds are provided, and a bail or frame d adapted to hold the elements together. Separation of the elements is effected by pivotal movement after disengaging the frame d. The elements a may comprise inverted trough or channel-shaped members having semi-mould recesses along their sides. The end elements have recesses along only one side. The frame may be sprung into position and supported by a rebate and it may carry guides f for registering with filling and other machines. The mould recesses may be formed by metal parts fitted into the elements. The metal parts may have a high heat conductivity to aid rapid cooling of the chocolate. Reinforcing straps g may be provided between the lower parts of adjacent or alternate elements. The mould parts are separated by pivoting the elements as by arranging them on a semi-cylindrical stand or running them on a conveyer passing around a roller or pulley.
