Abstract
465,257. Rolling. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F. Dec. 2, 1936, No. 33102. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1935. [Class 83 (iv)] A rolling-mill 1 is provided on each.side with work tensioning brakes A, B which can also be moved toward the mill to push a free end of the work therein. The brakes A, B have wormadjusted friction blocks 3 raised or lowered as required to free or to grip the work, and are coupled by racks and pinions 6, 6<1>, 12, 18 to a piston 15. When, say, the brake B is to introduce the work, its friction block 3 is lowered to grip the work while the brake A is opened, the piston 15 is actuated to the right whereby both B and A are moved to the right, B pushing the work into the rolls. The rack pinion shafts 11 may have couplings 20 to detach the drive movement from one or the other pushers if desired.
