Abstract

465,004. Sliding doors. HILL, ALDAM, & CO., Ltd., E. (Yendall, W. R.) Dec. 23, 1935, No. 35549. [Class 20 (iii)] A vertically and horizontally sliding door 1, of the kind which rests horizontally above the doorway when open, is guided by roller trunnions and upwardly and rearwardly inclined channel tracks 3 starting at a point above the bottom of the door frame and ending at a point approximately an equal distance behind the frame, and by overhead horizontal tracks 4. The door is counterbalanced by weights 13 and cables 11 acting along the direction of the guides 3. The cables may be secured to the ends of the lower guide spindles 6, Fig. 4.
