Abstract
463,440. Gas cooking-stoves. RADIATION, Ltd., and YATES, H. J. Oct. 1, 1935, Nos. 27060 /35 and 4224 /36. [Class 126] In a gas cooking-oven with a partially or completely closed base d, a chamber g enclosing the burner h has an opening at its upper end to deliver the hot gases from the burner to the oven without obstruction from the oven walls, inwardly inclined or curved sides m, n, ample area of cross-section near the burner, and an air inlet l of minimum size for satisfactory combustion even when the burner is overloaded. Slots q or other perforations or a mica window permit the flames to be seen. At each end of the back of the oven is an outlet to a rear chamber j with a central outlet k. The burner may be adjacent the side walls, and the outlets may be in the sides or near the top of the oven. Two burners with separate chambers may be provided. According to the second Provisional Specification, entrance to the burner enclosure decreases in cross-section away from the burner.
