Abstract

461,798. Moulds for confectionery &c. LAYCOCK, G. C. (Monheim, L., [Firm of]). July 17, 1936, No. 19863. [Class 87 (ii)] A mould for the production of hollow articles of chocolate &c. having an aperture which is covered by the moulded material during moulding, is provided with a raised rib surrounding the aperture which either separates the material within the aperture from the main body or reduces the thickness of the material so that it can easily be broken away. The mould may have two recesses 2, 3 to produce two halves of an article such as a shoe. A rib 4 surrounds the aperture separating the two halves and forms a thickened reinforcement 7 round the edge. The peripheral edges of the mould may have recesses 6 to form reinforcements on the article. When the two sections of the article have been broken apart they are re - united along their peripheral edges.
