Abstract

504,317. Moulding chocolate eggs &c. SHUTTLEWORTH & CO., Ltd., W. S., and STANCLIFFE, G. B. Feb. 4, 1938, No. 3615. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group VI] In moulds for chocolate eggs and other hollow articles wherein an annular dividing plate 1 is provided between, and overlaps rims 3 of, two hinged mould parts, the plate 1 is formed with depressions 5 adapted to form interlocking recesses and projections on the lips of the hollow half-forms moulded. The depressions 5 are formed at each side of the plate 1 and on opposite surfaces and are so positioned and directed that on each surface of the plate they provide projections at one side and recesses at the other side such that corresponding recesses and projections are formed on the sides of each half-form and any two half-forms taken from a batch moulded by the same mould can thus be paired to interlock. The' opening in the plate 1 is provided to allow chocolate to flow freely within the mould during spinning thereof.
