Abstract

461,754. Softening water. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. (Soc. Anon. Electrolux) Aug 27, 1935, No. 23961. [Class 46] Brine for regenerating zeolite is formed by directing water from slots 28 in branch pipes 26, 27 of a water supply pipe 23 against the outside of a perforated container 17 charged with salt. The branch pipes and the container 17 may be covered with gauze of nickelcopper alloy. The container 17 charged with salt is inserted in the softener container 10 through an opening closed by a pivoted cover 11 and the container 17 is supported by an adjustable nut 20 on an arm 21 attached to the pipe 23. The pipes 27, 28, 23 may serve for the discharge of back-wash water.
