461,733. Automatic control systems. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. July 21, 1936, No. 20215. Convention date, July 24, 1935. [Class 38 (iv)] Temperature.-An electric oven has interior heating elements near the top and near the bottom and a thermostat arranged so that direct radiation from the top element 1 has substantially no effect upon it. The thermostat 4 is shown housed in a recess at the side of the oven in the Figure. The thermostat operates a switch in series with the lower element 2 and a manual switch is arranged so that the thermostat is inoperative when the top element alone is in circuit.
