Abstract

461,575. Hinges. CHALLIS, C. E. Sept. 30, 1935, No. 26930. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] A detachable hinged cover for a dish is provided with a rod or pivot E adapted to engage a groove or channel D provided in a lug extending from one side of the body portion, the rod being engaged by the ends of a spring C which holds it in place in the groove and also engages the handle G or alternatively a boss provided on the body portion. The cover can be raised whilst the dish is held by the handle G by pressing on the projection F, the spring preventing slamming during the closing movement of the cover.
