Abstract
Tungsten oxide WO3, or a derivative thereof such as tungstic acid or a tungstate, metatungstate or paratungstate, is reacted with an alkali bifluoride such as ammonium bifluoride to produce a bath for the electrodeposition of tungsten. The constituents may be dissolved in hot water or may be fused together and the product dissolved in water.
