Abstract
Acid-resisting iron alloys contain 7-25 per cent of nickel, 2-30 per cent of chromium, 0,1-5 per cent of tantalum, 0,1-4,5 per cent of molybdenum, 0,1-2 per cent of vanadium, and up to 1 per cent of carbon. The molybdenum may be wholly or partly replaced by tungsten, and the tantalum partly by niobium. Titanium or zirconium may be added for purposes of deoxidation.
