Abstract
460,508. Projection screens. HARPER, M. Aug. 24, 1936, No. 23197. [Class 97 (i)] A masking is located in a plane in front of a projection screen, is illuminated so as to throw light towards the spectators, and has means to shield the visible area of the screen from light from the masking ; the light thrown may be of a neutral or grey tone. The Figure shows the margin of a projection screen E, a reflector A forming a mask, and one of a series of lamps B which are shielded from the spectators and illuminate the reflector surface C. The surface C may be grey, the lamps being clear, or the lamps may be tinted. A clear or mat glass D may exclude dust from the reflector. Specification 417,873 is referred to.
